Putsch
From the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can change
A putsch is when someone (or a group of people) try to overthrow an established government by force. They want to take power themselves. Putsch is a German word.
One of the most famous putsch incidents was the Beer Hall Putsch of November 1923 where Adolf Hitler tried to take over the government of the state of Bavaria in Germany.
Strangely enough, the people taking part in the overthrow will usually not talk of a putsch, this term will be given by other people not involved in the process.
