Talk:Obsessive-compulsive disorder

I took out the part about trying to ignore it, or that ignoring it might be easy. It's over-simplifying to say "ignore it," and depending how a person ignores it, it might not get better. For example, accepting the thought is probably more helpful than repressing it, but both are forms of ignoring. I put in the part about accepting, because it's suggesting habituation, which is a kind of treatment. I'm not a psychiatrist, though, so I don't want to over-step my bounds, and if anyone thinks there's something wrong with this, they can take out the part about accepting. However, I think I wrote it in a manner that should be okay -- with advice to see a psychiatrist.24.64.223.203 08:08, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
