Talk:Japan
From the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can change
Japan is a good place
this article is entirely inadequate and is barely readable
[change] Please review everything on this page...
I suggest the whole page be reviewed. There is incorrect information there, for example:
"The Japanese changed Buddhism many ways, starting ideas such as Zen."
No, that is not correct. The "Zen" form of Buddhism started in China with the monk called Bodhidharma. Only later Zen spread to other countries, including Japan. "Zen" is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese word "Chan". And "Daruma" is the way Japanese people call Bodhidharma. --The lack of a reference to the Shinto-religion (wich was/is the major religion in Japan) is also quite disturbing.
I'm sure Japan doesn't have Official Coat of Arms.--Kiku b 12:20, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
And there is no article about Ainu. In Japan not only Japanese but also people who have culture that is different live in Japan.--Kiku b 23:23, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
japan is excellent place cause of its hospitality and origami
[change] Allowing flag to be seen better
I checked over on English and they used a specific 'infobox' template to force the background around the flag to be the same pale blue color as elsewhere in the infobox, rather than the white we have here. 'Something' has to be done to make the outline of the flag show. Anybody know a generic fix?
