An interval is what comes between two things.
- In mathematics those things are usually numbers.
- In music, an interval (music) is the distance beween two notes.
- When listening to a play in the theatre, or a concert in a concert hall an interval is like an intermission. It gives the performers and the audience a break.
- An interval can be the distance between two moments in time.
