- Dear friends, I made Notandi:Gangleri/drafts/list of dog breeds in Icelandic (except the title) as part of en:Wikipedia:WikiProject Dog breeds/Templates/InterWiki (main).
- Before you move the page I would like to discuss with you the following items:
- The expected articles are without definitive articles. For example "Síberískur Sleðahundur" and not "Síberíski Sleðahundurinn" etc. Please note that Sleðahundur is with capital S. This is (to my opinion) the normal usage. The only exception is Íslenski fjárhundurinn.
- About the countries the dogs are comming from: I think it would be better to use Nominative. What do you think?
- At da:Hunderacer which I made last week "Oprindelsesland:" repeats to often. I think at the top of the list a small explanation about the list could be added as done at de:Liste der Hunderassen.
- (M) means, that a picture is available in another language. Until now I checked only the German one.
- The FCI catalogisation should be maintained in the list because upto now 15 languages are involved.
- Hope that my friends from the pages I have linked at the end of the list can contribute also about general topics from Iceland both at is.wikipedia and at Wikipedias in other languages. Best regards Gangleri 14:51, 1 nóv 2004 (UTC)
Regarding the capital S in Sleðahundur. I believe it is not the correct way. In both German and English you would use S, but in Icelandic you need good reasons to justify a capital letter. See the capital letter section of this document. dhk. --212.30.210.210 17:00, 14 nóv 2004 (UTC)
