A kései Tupac Shakur negyedik lemeze (harmadik szólólemeze) volt a Me Against the World, melyet börtönben ülése idején adtak ki. A számok listázása eléggé megváltozott a kiadás előtt, hisz 2Pac olyan számokat is vett fel az albumra, melyet csak halála után, vagy a mai napig nem adtak ki (pl.: "Hellrazor"), valamint szinte az összes számon hajtottak végre változtatásokat, ebből következően alig van néhány szám teljesen eredeti formájában kiadva. Az albumról négy kislemezt adtak ki ("Dear Mama", "So Many Tears", "Me Against the World" és "Temptations"), amelyből háromhoz videóklipet is forgattak (annak ellenére hogy Shakur börtönben ült). Ezenkívűl az album címadó dalát a híres film filmzenéjén is kiadták, a Bad Boys – Mire jók a rosszfiúk?-on.
