Thornton Wilder

Thornton Niven Wilder (17 avril 1897 – 7 décembre 1975) était un dramaturge américain et un romancier. Son chef-d'œuvre au théâtre est Our Town.

Thornton Niven Wilder, né à Madison, dans le Wisconsin, est le fils de Amos Parker Wilder, diplomate, et d' Isabella Niven Wilder. Tous les enfants passèrent une bonne partie de leur enfance en Chine .
Son frère aîné, Amos Niven Wilder, était professeur de théologie à la Harvard Divinity School, et aussi poète.
