Mal Waldron

Malcolm Earl Waldron (16 août 1926 - 2 décembre 2002) était un pianiste et compositeur de jazz et de world music américain.

Il a enregistré avec notamment John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Clifford Jordan, Booker Little, Steve Lacy et Jackie McLean.

Mal Waldron a aussi composé pour le cinéma, le théatre et la danse. En 1963 Un accident cérébral l'a obligé à un réapprentissage à partir de ses propres enregistrements. Il déménagea en Europe en 1965, à Munich en Allemagne puis à Bruxelles en Belgique.
