John Ringo est un auteur américain de science-fiction et de fantasy, qui se spécialise dans le sous-genre de la science-fiction militaire. IL se concentre sur les scénarios de SF qui ont beaucoup de batailles d'infanterie et d'autres types de combat au sol.
Il est connu pour ses vues franches, et peut souvent être rencontré dans les conventions de science-fiction portant un kilt.
Il est édité par Baen Books.
