Bathysaur or highfin lizardfish (Bathysaurus mollis) at the Davidson Seamount (2375 meters depth). This is one of three Pacific coast species. This fish is often found very still on the bottom; lying-in-wait as an ambush predator on unsuspecting prey items. |
