Über dies Bild: Auschnitt aus dem Gemälde "Prospectus Ruppinensis ac Wuthenowiensis" (1694) mit der ältesten Stadtansicht Neuruppins. Das Bild hängt in der Schinkel-Kirche im Ortsteil Wuthenow. Theodor Fontane beschreibt dieses Gemälde in den "Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg" ausführlich.

Bildinhalt Im Vordergrund ist das Tor zum See zu sehen. Die große Kirche rechts ist die Pfarrkirche St. Marien, die beim Stadtbrand 1787 zerstört wurde. Links ist die Klosterkirche St. Trinitatis zu erkennen mit dem Dachreiter (die beiden markanten Türme - heute das Wahrzeichen Neuruppins - sind erst 1905 errichtet worden).
