Plantilla:Traduccion El estado de California está dividido en cincuenta y ocho condados. Los condados son responsables de todas las elecciones, los bienes de la recaudación de impuestos, mantenimiento de registros públicos, como los hechos, y a nivel local los tribunales dentro de sus fronteras, así como la aplicación de la ley (a través del sheriff del condado y del sheriff diputados) a las zonas que no están dentro de las ciudades.
