Where does Zion get food? And how is it sulf-sustaining? It would be good if these questions were answered.--Exander 05:20, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Zion's food is manufactured using simple minerals and amino acids by (ironically) machines. These machines are not controlled by the ai conciousness, as was revealed in Matrix Reloaded, but are simply there to provide Zion with its essentials. This food is not very desirable and is compared in the movies to runny eggs, a bowl of snot, and of course...Tastee Wheat.--Doncroft 03:44, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

They also have bread- as seen in Reloaded. One of the comics explains how they got their hands on the technology.

There are also edible mushrooms that grow on pipes in Zion, there are pictures in the zion Archive at the offical website. Slice13

I think I remember reading that the use of the name "Zion" got some of the matrix movies banned in some Arab countries... AnonMoos 14:07, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Is there ever any mention (Art of Matrix books perhaps) of the origins of Zion? I find it hard to believe that the One and 23 freed people are able to build an underground city capable of housing a quarter-million. Is it possible that the machines built Zion, or it perhaps already existed (I'm thinking as a shelter leftover from the man-machine war of the 2100s)Slice13 22:47, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Location of Zion

Are you sure Zion is only 4 kms from Earth's surface? I heard in one of the movies (revolutions I elieve) that no human had approached the surface at less than 100 kms. Or it is 0.1? Anyways please check this issue out :)
