[edit] about the "decapitation"
"According to Ye Gon, Alarcón told him he should cooperas o cuello (literally, "co-operate or neck"), meaning if he did not cooperate, he would be decapitated."
well, being mexican and being familiar with the slang, "cooperas o cuello" does literally mean "co-operate or neck", BUT, it is not usually used in the sense of decapitation, in actuality it's meant to mean "co-operate or you will die." rotarypot 08:19, 25 July 2007 (UTC) rotarypot
[edit] birthplace
According to this article he was born in Shanghai on the mainland. I'm not necessarily saying that it's true, but it's in English and from the Washington post, whereas the current reference is in Spanish from a source I'm not familiar with.
