Zentrifugal

Zentrifugal is a German hip hop duo from Bremen. The group consists of Bastian Böttcher, who writes and performs the lyrics, and Loris Negro, who does the music. Zentrifugal has so far produced two albums: Poesiealbum (1996) and Tat oder Wahrheit (1999). Most of the songs are about ordinary life, presumably from Böttcher's point of view, written with a high level of wordplay, alliteration, assonance, and rhyming; often a particular syllable or sequence of phonemes will be repeated numerous times in a short space.
Zentrifugal is one of the forerunners of German rap poetry. The group has won poetry slam prizes and was invited to participate in the Goethe Institut's Deutsch-Nuyorican-Poetry-Festival in the early 1990s.
