Yuichiro Hikari (光祐一朗 Hikari Yūichirō?) is a fictional character in the Mega Man Battle Network series of video games and the MegaMan NT Warrior (Rockman EXE) anime and manga. In the anime, he is voiced by Michael Adamthwaite in the English version, and Kouichi Nagano (EXE and Axess) and Tokuyoshi Kawashima (Stream onwards) in the original version of the series. He is married to Haruka Hikari, and they have a son named Lan Hikari (Netto Hikari). In the game continuum, he had a second son, Hub (Saito), who was born alongside Lan, but perished because of a rare heart condition.

Yuichiro's father, Dr. Tadashi Hikari, is considered to be the founder of the computer networking system within the Battle Network series (akin to Dr. Thomas Light's involvement in robotics in the classic series). As such, Yuichiro is looked upon as an expert in the subject of networking. Although he is not seen with a NetNavi of his own, he is the creator of numerous NetNavis, including MegaMan.EXE (Rockman). In the games, in an attempt to save his dying son, Hub, he creates MegaMan by placing the boy's DNA into a Navi program.
In the anime, Yuichiro is often the scientist responsible for new designs and additions to already existing PET models, and his research into the nature of Dimensional Areas leads to the creation of the "Synchro Chip" permitting Cross Fusion, a unique ability that allows an operator to merge with his/her NetNavi.

Yuichiro is seemingly an older personification of his son Lan. While Lan does what he thinks is right in his own way (by working together with MegaMan to save the world), Yuichiro does his own part, working behind the scenes in the more technical aspects of things while having a more realistic and mature way of thinking.
