Yuan can refer to the following:
- Chinese yuan, the basic unit of currency in China.
- Renminbi, the current currency used in China, whose basic unit is Yuan.
- Yuan Dynasty (元朝), also called the Mongol Dynasty, of China
- Yuan (surname), the transliteration of a number of Chinese family names (e.g. 袁, 元, 苑, 原, 源, 爰)
- Thai Yuan, a people of Northern Thailand
- Yuàn (院), a branch of government stipulated by the Constitution of the Republic of China (now on Taiwan): Legislative Yuan, Executive Yuan, Judicial Yuan, Examination Yuan, Control Yuan
- Yuanfen (缘份), Chinese or Buddhist concept that means the predetermined principle that dictates a person's relationships and encounters, usually positive, such as the affinity among friends or lovers. In common usage the term can be defined as the "binding force" that links two persons together in any relationship.
