[edit] Woody or not Woody?
In the article of Woody Allen the last sentence is:
"Allen did not, as is commonly thought, write for Your Show of Shows. [14]"
Did he wrote for the show or not?

He wrote for YSOS's successor program, Caesar's Hour, which ran from 1954-1957. Potashnik 20:54, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Correction re Nanette Fabray
I watched this program as a young teenager. As I recall, Nanette Fabray was NOT a regular on "Your Show of Shows." Instead, she replaced comedienne Imogene Coca on the "Sid Caesar Hour," a successor program. (According to IMDb, she was on two episodes of Show of Shows.) Coca split to star in her own series, which did not have the success of the Caesar show.
In addition to the Hamilton Trio, another regular on the variety show was Metropolitan Opera baritone Robert Merrill, and also the Billy Williams Quartet.
Also, shouldn't the show be categorized as a "variety program featuring comic sketches," rather than a "sketch comedy television series?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Btm1 (talk • contribs) 19:35, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
