Vyazemsky Pereulok

Vyazemsky Pereulok (Russian: Вя́земский переу́лок) is a side street in Petrogradsky District of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It connects Professor Popov Street with Sand Embankment.

In 19th century this street was named Lavalev Street (Russian: у́лица Лава́лева), then Zadny Pereulok (Russian: За́дний переу́лок), Glukhoy Pereulok (Russian: Глухо́й переу́лок), and finally Vyazemsky Pereulok, after the landowners, the Vyazemskys family. It was renamed to Belgorodskaya Street (Russian: Белгоро́дская у́лица) on 15 December 1952, but in one year (on 4 January 1954) the original name was returned.

The street is approximately 500 meters long. Although it is named as side street, it is wider (30 meters) than main avenues of Petrogradsky Distinct: Kamennoostrovsky Prospect and Big Prospect (both approximately 20 meters).
There are several apartment buildings, the 32th polyclinic (house number 3), the dormitory and the Humanitarian Faculty of Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (number 5-7), and Vyazemsky Garden.
