Vrbanja, a village in the region of Spačva, Croatia, 24 km southeast of Županja; elevation 87 m. Chief occupations include farming, livestock breeding and forestry. The village is located on the regional road Vinkovci - Gunja - Brčko (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The municipality has a population of 5,174 people; absolute majority are Croats (96.48%), with a small Slovak minority (1.38%).
This typical, Srijem-style, lowland village is located close to the famous forests of Spačva, abundant in wildlife. Pleasant accommodation facilities and venison specialities are offered in hunting lodges. The special forest vegetation reserve Radisevo comprises forests of common oak and hornbeam with beech.
The parish church of the Name of Mary was built in 1821.
