He born on November 28, 1959 at Nerle in Sangli district in a farmer family. He is MA in English Literature and graduate in Law. He is IAS by profession in Maharashtra.

• Mahanayak- on the life of Netaji Subhash chandra Bose.

He was awarded by sahitya Akademi Award for his novel Zadazadti. Mahanayak got best novel award of Maharashtra government.
