State Route 55 is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia, running west from U.S. Route 29 at Gainesville to West Virginia Route 55. East of Interstate 81 near Strasburg, SR 55 is closely paralleled by Interstate 66, and runs concurrently with I-66 between exits 23 and 28. West of I-81, SR 55 is also U.S. Route 48, Corridor H of the Appalachian Development Highway System.
