State Route 118 is a primary state highway in Roanoke and northern Roanoke County, Virginia, United States, known as Airport Road for its entire length. SR 118 connects Williamson Road (U.S. Route 11) to Peters Creek Road (State Route 117). Despite the name, the road does not have direct access to Roanoke Regional Airport. Aviation Drive is the access road to the airport and is connected to Airport Road by Municipal Road.
Airport Road passes under runway 06/24 at Roanoke Regional Airport in a tunnel which was constructed during the runway's extension between 1983 and 1985.[2] Maintained by the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission, a 1996 proposal to name the tunnel in honor of Marshall L. Harris (former airport manager from 1944-1974) never came to fruition.[2]
