Veronica Pershina

Veronica Pershina (born in 1966 in Yekaterinburg) is a former Soviet pairs figure skater. She won the 1979 World Junior Figure Skating Championships with partner Marat Akbarov. The pair went on to win the bronze medal at the 1985 European Figure Skating Championships [1]. She was trained by Stanislav Zhuk and Irina Rodnina.
From 1986 until 1990 she skated with "Russian All Stars" under Tatiana Tarasova management. She made a worldwide tour with Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean from 1988 until 1990.
She now lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan and works as ice skating coach [2]. She is married and has two kids.
