[edit] International?
Should this page be Venice International Film Festival? --Hemanshu 16:49, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)
(in reply to Hemanshu) A quick check on Google seems to show that it's often referred to as the Venice International Film Festival. Also, entries such as "63rd Venice International Film Festival" refer to it in this way. The fact that the Italian title for the festival contains 'international' is the most convincing reason to edit the title of the entry. Since you posted this more than 2 years ago and there hasn't been a reply, I think I'll just go ahead and change it now. It can always be changed back if people disagree. Edit: That's if I knew how. I'm such a novice. Immutable 18:40, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
If the film festival is every year how is it part of an art festival that's every two years? Joestynes 03:47, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Cleaning up this article
I've started wikifying loads of links, but I don't have the time to do this article by myself! Also, I only know the basics of wiki, and the basics of wikipedia. I hope more experienced users can contribute. Several sections need reqrites, and some of the lists can go out altogether, or be moved. [edit] Best Actor Award
This section only has two entries. I would add an entry for 2003, but would it look odd with such a huge gap between dates? Immutable 18:42, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cannes
I just saw a news report that the idea for the Cannes film festival was created after two pro-Nazism films got high honors in some time before 1939... any one know about this and/or able to write about this?
