Valery Novoselsky (born in 1970) - Romani activist and researcher. Originally from the city Dnipropetrovs’k, Ukraine. In 1991-94 got postsecondary education in history in Dnipropetrovs’k National University. In 1993-95 was working in a Christian organization in Moscow, Russia. Immigrated to Israel according the law of return (one-quarter-Jewish) in 1995.

During 1996-2002 was working as English-Russian translator with the "Assemblies of God" Church in Israel. In 2002 got his BA degree on Theology and Bible in the Galilee Bible College (Haifa). Being from a Romani background (Servitka Roma of Eastern Ukraine) Valery Novoselsky joined the Romani movement in 1999 in his capacity of the founder and an editor of Roma Virtual Network. In 2006 he has obtained the post-graduate degree on Public Diplomacy being a graduate of Roma Diplomacy Programme (2005-2006).

Currently working as consultant with European Roma Information Office (ERIO) and International Debate Education Association (IDEA). In addition to the participation in international Roma movement, Valery Novoselsky is involved into the activities of Russian diasporal and Israeli Arab non-governmental organizations.
