The Uruguay national cricket team was the team that represented the county of Uruguay in international cricket matches. They mainly played against regional rivals Argentina, playing them 29 times between 1868 and World War II, winning on six occasions.[1]
As of September 2001, cricket had not been played in Uruguay for twenty years, but at that point, the Uruguay Cricket Association was formed to attempt to gain recognition from the International Cricket Council. The ICC's regional development sent three Kanga cricket sets to British administered schools in Montevideo.[2]
