The University of Moncton (Fr: Université de Moncton) is a French language university in Moncton, New Brunswick serving the Acadian community of Atlantic Canada. It is the only francophone university in New Brunswick and is one of only two such universities in the Maritime Provinces, the other being the Université Sainte-Anne in neighbouring Nova Scotia.

Founded in 1963, the modern University of Moncton is an amalgamation of six colleges, including the Collège Saint-Joseph (founded at Memramcook in 1864), the Collège du Sacré-Coeur de Bathurst, and the Collège Saint-Louis d'Edmundston. [1]
It has campuses in Edmundston and Shippagan in addition to the primary campus in Moncton.
The university is a member of L'Association des universités de la francophonie canadienne, a network of academic institutions of the Canadian Francophonie. [2]
