It is asserted that the use of this image in articles pertaining to or in reference to University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association (UCD GAA) and its associated properties qualifies as fair use for the following reasons:
- It is a low-resolution copy of the logo;
- It does not affect the market for the original work — this is a logo created to promote an organization, not a commercial work sold to the public for profit;
- By the nature of the image, no free alternative is possible;
