Syców [ˈsɨt͡suf] (German: Groß Wartenberg) is a town in Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Syców. Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. (For more information on the history of the region, see Silesia.)
It lies approximately 27 kilometres (17 mi) north-east of Oleśnica, and 52 kilometres (32 mi) north-east of the regional capital Wrocław.
As at 2006, the town has a population of 10,712.
Syców is twinned with Malsch.
