"Sweet Little Mystery" was the second single from Wet Wet Wet's debut album, Popped In Souled Out. It was released on July 20, 1987 and reached #5 in the UK charts.
In the video, recorded in Gambia, the lyrics in the second verse are changed from Didn't I come resisting this sight of wonder / Didn't I come insisting the higher decision to Didn't I come to give you a sense of wonder / Didn't I come to lift this fiery vision.
Marti Pellow recorded his own version of the song for inclusion on his 2002 album Marti Pellow Sings the Hits of Wet Wet Wet & Smile.
Title lyric: It's just that sweet little mystery that makes me try, try, try, try.
