Swedbank Stadion is a football stadium in Malmö, Sweden, that is currently under construction. Once completed in 2009, it will be used for football matches and will host the home matches of Malmö FF. The stadium will have a capacity of 24,000 people. 18,000 seatings and 6,000 standings or 21,000 seatings in matches of international character. It replaces Malmö FFs current stadium Malmö Stadion. On July 12, 2007, Malmö FF announced that they had sold the naming rights for the arena to the Swedish bank Swedbank.[1]
The arena will also host the finals of the 2009 UEFA Under-21 Championships. [2]
