[edit] Santa Teresa
I certainly would have appreciated a heads-up that you had tagged Santa Teresa (fictional city) for speedy deletion. - Dravecky (talk) 11:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- I know you're new on Wikipedia but step 4 of listing an article for deletion is "Please consider notifying the author(s) by placing {{subst:adw|Santa Teresa (fictional city)}} ~~~~ on their talk page(s)." as detailed in several places, including on the actual AfD notice you placed on the article. It's strongly encouraged and the right thing to do. (I've also copied this reply to your talk page.) - Dravecky (talk) 03:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Non-notable trivia
Hi, please don't tag articles for speedy deletion for the above reason, they can't be deleted, see WP:CSD. If you want things deleted for that reason, please WP:PROD instead. Thanks, Mallanox 12:14, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Category rationale
"Ghetto" is a term used very often just like "Upscale". Ghetto has nothing to do with black people. not all black people or neighborhoods are poor. perhaps we may rename the category to "Poor", "Low-Income", or "High Crime". But there should be a category as there is a direct categorical demographic in places like Hunters Point, San Francisco, California and Richmond, California. This is not a POV issue. The news reports these places as being ghettos. If we deny that we risk doing Original Research. Theres nothing offensive about being poor or "ghetto" or living in one. But poor people are segregated into ghettos and poor people acknowledge and slef-title their communities as such. Also most ghettos like most communities in the United States are not ethnic neighborhoods. They are poor neighborhoods with people of all races living together.SuperSuperBoi (talk) 06:46, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Please provide references. We don't argue from a lack of evidence. The fact is, we have rules for categorization and rules against bias; the naming conventions and restrictions you are choosing to use aren't supported on Wikipedia. To get an idea of what is supported, browse your way through Category:Fundamental until you find something you think will work. Feel free to ask me any questions, or try to read through some of the guidelines like Wikipedia:Categorization FAQ, Wikipedia:Categorization of people, and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (categories). - Take a look at Category:Income in the United States. Everything you are looking for or looking to create should be found in those categories as lists. Viriditas (talk) 13:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
