A Supra (in Georgian: სუფრა – IPA: [sʊpʰra]) is a traditional Georgian feast and an important part of Georgian social culture. There are two types of Supra: a festivity supra (in Geo.: ლხინის სუფრა – [lxɪnɪs sʊpʰra]) called Keipi and a sombre supra (in Geo.: ჭირის სუფრა - [ʧʼɪrɪs sʊpʰra]) - Kelekhi, which is always held after burials.

Supra in Georgian means - "table-cloth". Large public meals never held in Georgia without supra(table-cloth), even though there were no tables, the supra were be laid onto the ground (e.g. feasts in the nature), during many centuries the feast in Georgia took the name - "supra".
[edit] Rules of Supra
Supra,regardless of size and type is obligatory led by the Tamada, who gives toastes during the feast. Noone can drink toast unless it is said by the Tamada, or one can take permission to make a toast.
Tamada is chosen among the members of the Supra, as a rule by the host of the feast, but sometimes by a majority (when there is no host). Tamada ought to be good with words, have talent of organize and know order of toasts, which is differenced by the type of Supra.
Keipi toast is called - "Sadghegrdzelo" (in Geo.სადღეგრძელო – [sadɣɛɡrʣɛlɔ]), whilst Kelekhi toast - "Shesandobari" (in Geo.: შესანდობარი – [ʃɛsandɔbarɪ]).
