Sunnat Jamaat kaum-e-Bawahir (SJKB).
This Sunni Bohra Community was Established more than 150 years ago. As a working active community it is a very respectable and known community in Ahmedabad. But since it is 150 years old people from this community have been wide spread in different cities of Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda and other cities outside Gujarat like Mumbai and Hyderabad. After the partition of India many people also migrated to Pakistan too and few were settled there before the partition too. cities like Karachi and Lahore hosts many small pockets of SJKB community. in the last 20 years many big and small pockets of communities have also settled outside India in places like London (UK), Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) but majority of them in the United States of America in many different states. most of them in Chicago (Illinois). SJKB now has more than 20,000 people in the community and growing.
A big Community Hall is Built in the inner walled city in Ahmedabad. The SJKB hall is commonly used for marriages and other occasional parties. SJKB has its own "SJKB EDUCATION SOCIETY", a working committee, a President of the community and a hierarchy of management working under for different sections of the community. Many different programmes are held by these committee for the members of the community such as Annual Education Rewards Programme to honour young Students of the community, circulating a quarterly annual bulletin of the happenings in the community, An IFTAAR PARTY on a day of RAMADAN and many such events.
