Sulphur Springs is a neighborhood and district located within the city limits of Tampa, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the neighborhood had a population of 6,308. [1]

Sulphur Springs boundaries include Rowlett Park to the east, Florida Avenue to the west, Busch Blvd. to the north, and the Hillsborough River to the south [2]. The neighborhood is well known for the Sulphur Springs Water Tower, which was built in 1927. The community was annexed into Tampa in 1953. [3], [4]

Sulphur Springs is located at (28.02500, -82.45111)[1], or about five miles north of downtown Tampa [5]. The community has an elevation of 16 feet above sea level.

In the neighborhood, the population is spread out with 44.02% under 19 years; 19.95% 20 to 35 years; 19.83% 35 to 49 years; 11.26% 50 to 66 years; and 4.94% 67 Years and Over.
