[edit] Recording date / location

I have seen a reference (in a 1985 Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra Newsletter) to a live video recording made of the orchestra performing at "Rick's Cafe" in Chicago in 1985. I am 99% certain that this "Strive For Jive" video is the result of that 1985 Chicago session but would appreciate hearing from anyone who has additional references as to the date / location of this recording session. The VHS Video cover notes / credits themselves are very short on details and do not indicate the location (other than "Chicago") or year of this recording. Other sources (All Music Guide, etc.) place the recording date much later "...around 1992..." but I doubt these later dates. The band personnel who appear in the video would seem to represent more closely the mid '80s Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra lineup. Pugetbill 02:09, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
