Derrick Stolee is a graduate student in mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research interests include graph theory, combinatorics, algorithms, and computational geometry. His most common contributions to Wikipedia are SVG diagrams and TeX fixes. He recommends Wikipedia as a great source for studying to his calculus students.

There are several events in the life of Derrick Stolee that contribute to his growing fame:
- Directed and edited a featured video on YouTube. The video was linked to in a Newy York Times online article.
- Competed in the ACM ICPC World Finals in 2006, and 2007. In the 2007 competition in Tokyo, Japan, team Grindor from UNL placed 26th. Despite the ambiguity in the final standings, Grindor placed exactly 26th due to early completion of the four problems. In fact, team Grindor was the second team in the contest to complete three problems.
