Stephen Greif (born August 26, 1948) is an English actor.
TV appearances include: He Kills Coppers, Holby City, Judge John Deed, Space Race, Eastenders, The Bill and many more including the series Blake's 7 and Citizen Smith. Films include Boogie-Woogie, Shoot on Sight, Eichmann, Back to Business, Casanova, Sixty-Six, Spartan, The Upside of Anger, Fakers, and Dirty Money amongst others.
He has also appeared in many plays in the West End including Epitaph for George Dillon with Joseph Fiennes, Fallen Angels with Felicity Kendal and Frances De La Tour and Many Seasons at the National Theatre, winning Laurence Olivier Award and Critics' Circle Best Actor nominations. He has also appeared with The Royal Shakespeare Company.
He has read countless talking books including He Kills Coppers, Seeking Robinson Crusoe, The Boy with the Magic Numbers (for which he won the prestigious Earphones Award from BBC Audiobooks America), The Pianist, The Darkness of Wallis Simpson, and His Dark Materials. His radio work includes The Devil was here Yesterday, The Iceman, Witness, Take-away, Down and Out in London and Paris, Captains Corelli's Mandolin, and Hooligan Nights. He has also voiced hundreds of radio and television commercials as well as thousands of promos and corporate presentations.
