[edit] discussion

What do you think of removing the "list of ..." in the template. To keep only the "Comparison of ..." articles ? --Fenring (talk) 22:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

hi, we should arrange where we want to discuss (here or at your user_talk page!
mmmh, ok, but if we remove this then we got an empty cells. on the other hand: in the lists we can add plugins etc. which are historical and outdated or which we have ot enough information to put in th comparison (or which doesn't be profitable if we add them)
I hope you understand what I mean: empty cells are bad and in lists we can add plugins which needn't be in the comparisons Mabdul (talk) 22:49, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure. I think I prefer one template for the comparison articles. One for the list of layout engines. One for the list of plugins... less pollution in the target articles. --Fenring (talk) 18:42, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

How about such an template:

this "template" is - of course - incomplete, but you know what I want to show, eh? Mabdul (talk) 18:16, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmm. Yeah, I don't know. We'll then have a row for each standard that is compared ? A lot of redundancy... --Fenring (talk) 20:38, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
you get it! this is the point. it doesn't matter which system is used, both are bad ^^ I will try to make a new example and combining the two examples... Mabdul (talk) 22:05, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

OK, ne try:

Web standards support
HTML Layout engines Trident · Presto · Gecko · Tasman · WebKit · KHTML · iCab · GtkHTML · Gzilla · Boxely · Tkhtml · NetSurf · Robin
SVG Layout engines Presto · Gecko · WebKit · KHTML · Prince
Plugins Adobe SVG Viewer · Batik · Renesis
Libraries librsvg
Graphics Layout engines Trident · Presto · Gecko · Tasman · WebKit · KHTML · iCab · GtkHTML · Gzilla · Boxely · Tkhtml · NetSurf · Robin
Libraries libungif · jpeglib · libpng · libtiff

How about such an feature? Now it is a table and it should be a navbox, but I don't know to rowspan in a navbox , but I will get the information if we want such a template. On the other hand: this will be a big template, if we put every standard in this box! Mabdul (talk) 22:25, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
