St. Mary's Episcopal Church and Cemetery, located at 258 Concord Street, in the village of Newton Lower Falls, Newton, Massachusetts, were added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 14, 1980. St. Mary's Parish was formed in 1811[2] and its church built in 1814 is the oldest church building in the city of Newton as well as the first built in what are today Boston's western suburbs.[3] Notable features of the church interior are its original high box pews, choir loft and plain glass windows. The plain chancel was added in 1922.[4] The cemetery, which dates from 1812,[5] is the oldest non-government-owned cemetery in Newton.[6]
