So basically they should rename this page "for yankee fans, by yankee fans"

[edit] no...
I don't think so, after some edits... Sjsharksrs 07:14, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
they should remove the islanders being a new york city team. they are a long island team in nassau county. plus, nobody in the city cares about the islanders. i should know.
[edit] Most popular sport in...?
How do you know baseball is the most popular sport in these cities? Chicago? That can't be true. The Super Fans cared about only two teams: Da Bears and Da Bulls. -Amit
- Most popular claims are very unwise as they can be measured in any number of ways to suit the sport the writer wishes to promote as most popular. To give an extreme example, Red Bull New York are probably the most popular New York sports team on a global scale because they represent the city at soccer and there are more soccer fans globally than in the big four sports combined. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Captainbeecher (talk • contribs) 17:07, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Someone has to make a decision here
The New York Giants, the New York Jets, and the New York Islanders are no more "New York City" teams than the New Jersey Devils and the New Jersey Nets. If you want to include the Giants or the Jets in this article, it is wholly incomplete not to include the Nets and the Devils. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JHMM13 (talk • contribs) 03:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC).
- Sorry about that..mental slip. JHMM13 05:52, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Harlem Globetrotters
Do they deserve a mention in the article and/or template? {{NewYorksports}} PaulC/T+ 16:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
