- Difficult choice, official name of union vs official name of university. I ever-so-slightly agree with you that the union's official name probably trumps it AlanFord 17:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Would it not be more appropriate to cull the unnecessary detail, and merge the remains into the University of Southampton node? I don't see how the vast majority of this node has any relevance to anybody outside of Soton Uni, and that flags it as blatant vanity to me. --81.86.106.14 13:45, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- No, there's too much detail here to be merged into the main university page (which is pretty large as it stands anyway). I think that more of the union-specific information should go here. Sure, it's probably mostly of interests to students and alumni, but also may be of interest to a more general audience researching students' unions. It's certainly valid as an article AlanFord 17:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
