Southern Hummingbird is the debut album by American R&B/soul singer Tweet, released on April 2, 2002 (see 2002 in music) in the United States. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold, preceded by the R&B number-one lead single "Oops (Oh My)".

The album featured production by Timbaland (who contributed four tracks), Craig Brockman & Nisan Stewart, guitarist John "Jubu" Smith, and Tweet herself. It also featured guest vocals by Elliott, Bilal, BeatClub Record's Ms. Jade, and featured a bonus new track by Elliott, "Big Spender", which samples the '60s classic of the same name.

The album was filled with soul-stirring vocals and lyrics taken from Tweet's own life experiences, some of which were at the time written on napkins.

After the successful lead single, the album spawned another two, the Timbaland-produced "Call Me" and the radio single "Smoking Cigarettes", which had a video shot for it and directed by Little X but was never released.
