Snipe may refer to:

  • Snipe, several species of wading bird
  • Snipe (theatrical), during motion picture exhibition, may refer to a short announouncement trailer on behalf of the theater, or any film that's run before or after a feature that isn't a promotional trailer or commercial (eg. a "welcome to our theater" snipe). A snipe may also refer to a last minute print which is glued over a poster or any paper advertising material to either alter or add to the information.
  • In television advertising, the animated graphics that promote other shows while the viewer is watching the current show.
  • Snipe hunt, one of a class of practical jokes that involves experienced people making fun of newcomers by giving them an impossible or imaginary task
