In 2004, Smartzee recorded a track with Nâdiya, a French singer. The result was the song "Et c'est parti...", which sold half a million copies (becoming the most broadcasted French song on the world in 2004. In 2006, he accompanied her again, on the track "Tous ces mots", that peaked at #2 in France. In the same year, Smartzee recorded his own song, featuring Gilles Luka on it. Fredwreck (producer for Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Cypress Hill and some of the biggest US West Coast) produced his debut single: "It's On", decided to collaborate to Smartzee's first album on several tracks.
