This article is supported by the Slovenia task force. (with unknown importance)

First off, it's not apropriate to add links described in any other language than English. This is the English version of Wikipedia and whether or not there are speakers of Slovene here, all content should be in Enlgish. Furthermore, a link to the Slovenian Wikipedia is superfluous, since there is already a link at Slovenian language. As far as I know, it's not common practice to put up {{wiktionary}} on a disambiguation page since it is not an article in itself, but rather a navigation tool.

Try to have a look at how other disambiguation pages are laid out and go by that instead of coming up with new and thoroughly non-standard (and sub-standard) designs.

I also redirected Slovenian or Slovene here. I really don't see why this very trivial and uncontroversial issue should require its own article. It takes about one or two sentences to summarize it...

Anyone interested in these questions should see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Slovenian vs Slovene) for further information. I changed the redirect so that it points there. --Eleassar my talk 20:28, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

I appreciate that you're willing to compromise and I think redirecting Slovenian or Slovene to the Naming convention is very reasonable, but please avoid linking to policy documents from article pages, even if they're only disambigs. We're supposed to avoid self-referencing of this kind except when an article is disputed, which is not really the case here.

two problems:
  • on the other hand, I, as a reader, did appreciate to have some good information regarding this. Without reading the discussion, I would never had read about Slovenian or Slovene. I understand the policy to avoid linking to policies, but information-seekers should not have to read the discussions either. Suggestion: an article gathering all of these kinds of double-wording, and on this very article, a link to the right section for slovene.
  • this is a dabpage, granted. But isn't it the page where people looking for such an information would go?

two weeks without reactions to my suggestion. I make a link on the main page to [[[Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Slovenian vs Slovene)]]. I will make it small. Reply to David Latapie 00:32, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
