I have noticed that I don't do that, and it's for many reasons. One is what you said, about finding the right template. (So I usually just leave a personal message.) Another is that I've found that certain times, it doesn't make a difference. I know that may make me sound like a "bad editor", but I find it either starts a "war" or people leave multiple messages and it still doesn't help.
