Sivakasi (Tamil: சிவகாசி) is a Tamil film directed by Perarasu. As like other Perarasu films it is a masala based entertainer. The movie stars Vijay, Asin, Prakash Raj, Ganja Karuppu, Chitti Babu, Lakshana, Geeta, Vaiyapuri, Sai and Perarasu himself with Nayantara in an item number. The film's music is composed by director, Srikanth Deva son of Deva.

Sivakaasi (Vijay) is man with a good heart, who dotes on his mother (Geetha) and sister (Lakshana). The film's theme focuses on the sacrifices he is called upon to make to keep his mother and sister happy. He leaves his home at the age of eight due to a falling-out with his father about his elder brother. After many years, he returns to his hometown. Upon his return, he finds out about the sinister doings of this brother Udhayappa (Prakash Raj) with regard to his mother and his sister. He decides to stay and help his mother and sister regain their lives.

- Released big with a record 187 prints in Tamil Nadu [1] and over 280 prints worldwide [2]
- Movie witnessed unprecedented opening in all the centres where the movie has been released---- this includes even foreign countries [3]
