From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sir Henry Fletcher, 3rd Baronet (c. 1661 – 19 May 1712) was an English politician.
The son of Sir George Fletcher, 2nd Baronet and Alice Hare, he was educated at The Queen's College, Oxford, where he matriculated on 10 June 1678. On 23 July 1700, he succeeded to his father's baronetcy. Fletcher was Member of Parliament (MP) for Cockermouth from 1689 to 1690. Later he lived as a monk in the English monastery of Douai in France. He died there and was buried in the chapel, which he had built for the community at his own expense.[1] Since he was unmarried, on his death the baronetcy became extinct.
